To make the right choice in home warranty coverage, you should think carefully about what home systems and appliances you need to be covered. This can help you pick the right coverage plan and avoid extra expenses.

Hello Super offers three home warranty plans: the Appliance, Whole Home, Essential, and Premium Home plans. Additional plans are available for Texas and Arizona residents. Please note that the same plans are priced differently for the current homeowners and new home buyers

The minimum annual premium with this provider is $20 per month, or $210 per year for the Appliance plan, which is half of what the average annual premium costs. By the way, you can save 20% by paying annually. The Appliance plan includes six main home appliances: built-in microwave, oven/range/cooktop, dishwasher, kitchen refrigerator with ice-maker and dispenser, and washer and dryer.

The Whole Home and the Premium Home plans are best suited for homeowners who want everything in their homes to be covered. In addition to home appliances, these plans also provide coverage for an air conditioner, ceiling fan, cooktop exhaust fan, garbage disposal, ductwork, interior electrical, garage door opener, heating system/heating pump, plumbing and plumbing stoppages, sump pump, toilet, trash compactor, central vacuum, and water heater.

Although the Whole Home and the Premium Home plans provide the same coverage, their limits differ—the more expensive the plan, the higher the limit. The Appliance Plan has a $2,500 limit; the Whole Home plan, $5,000; and the Premium Home Plan, $10,000. They also have a different cumulative claim limit for each of their plans, with a maximum aggregate limit up to $100, 000 per contract term. On the whole, the limits provided are rather high and can be compared to Residential Warranty Services. All these plans have an average-for-the-industry deductible of $75.

Essential plan includes the same items as Premium and Whole Home plans except for the washer, dryer, and refrigerator with ice maker.

There is also a wide range of add-ons available that you can purchase to customize your package. The price of the additional coverage is $50 to $380 while the limits are $1,000 to $10,000. The long list includes a salt water pool, whole house water purification system, permanently-installed generator, swimming pool and spa, well pump, septic system, water softener, additional refrigeration unit, and freestanding ice-maker.

In this part of the Super Home Warranty review, we provide you with the most essential issues of the company’s terms and conditions, as well as compare this information to the industry benchmarks. The transparency of this data is one of the most important issues when choosing a home warranty provider.

Coverage provided by Hello Super for repairs or replacement of covered appliances and systems begins thirty days after you purchase your subscription. The contract can be canceled by the customer within thirty days of the effective date, and a full refund will be provided by the company.

Hello Super has an automatic policy renewal that can be canceled three days before the end of the contract, which is the industry minimum. Emergency service is also available.

It’s unusual for the industry, but the company’s representatives are available only during business hours. For instance, American Home Guard offers the same conditions.

The company provides the shortest time to submit a claim of only one day. Although reservice is available if repairs fail, the period of free reservice for parts and labor is below the average and amounts to only sixty days.

An option of a free second opinion is available, but it will be free of charge only if this second opinion differs from the first one.

Customer Reviews and Feedback

Quotes from actual customer reviews:

Awesome service. Quick to respond. This company is the only warranty company that I can recommend to my friends in good conscious. They even help me with other stuff not covered by the warranty like blinds and remodeling with the heir concierge service. I would rate this company 1 million out of 10!

BBB, July 14, 2018

They will not solve the problem in their first visit even though it is solvable. They will say some spare part need to be replaced and will send another quote with higher labor charges and additional parts charges. When they fix, even though no external new parts was installed, they will still try to chrage that unless you want to fight with them.

To be confident in a home warranty provider, you should know the experiences of its customers. For this purpose, we tried to find and analyze Hello Super warranty reviews on the consumer reporting sites.

The lack of client feedback may be due to the fact that Super Home Warranty has been operating on the market for only four years, or it may be interpreted as evidence of customer satisfaction with their products.

Since Hello Super is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has an excellent A+ rating, we may assume that the level of client satisfaction with its service is quite high.

Despite the fact that there is little feedback on the internet, the summary rating of the company is 4.1, compared to the industry average assessment of 3.2.

A total of 25% of the company customers reported good work and another 13% noticed good communication, which is respectively 13% and 7% higher than the industry average. However, 13% of the clients also reported the unprofessionalism of the contractors and unexpected costs. It means that the repairmen did not solve the problems, and the clients had to hire their own workers or pay a commission twice to the home warranty company.
