    Complete Care Home Warranty Costs

Here is where Complete Care really stands out. Their monthly premiums and deductibles are each well below the industry average. That’s why CCHW might be an especially good choice to entice home buyers when you are putting your home on the market. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to pay for the plans they offer.

    Appliance/Systems: $55/month or $650 per year

Combo:    $62.50/month or $750 per year

    Service Call Fee: $45 – $60

    Coverage Limits: $500 to $1,500

    Coverage Overview

A home warranty service provider is only as good as their coverage. Complete Care offers good home warranty coverage at very reasonable prices. Other companies will cover more items, but the pricing for a Complete Care plan from premium to service fee is hard to beat. Unlike homeowners insurance, a home warranty is meant to cover breakdowns due to everyday wear and tear on major appliances and systems in your home. To minimize the risk of repair costs on multiple items in a single year, a home warranty like the plans from Complete Care can be a good investment.

CCHW has three plans to choose from, an Appliance Plan, a Systems Plan, and a Combo Plan. The Combo Plan covers 15 items, so it is not as broad as other plans from companies like Choice or American Home Shield, but it does cover all the main, more expensive home systems and appliances in your home in the event of a wear and tear related breakdown. Here is what the company offers when it comes to covered items.

    Systems Plan:

    Air Conditioning

    Heating

    Electrical

    Plumbing

    Water Heater

    Central Vacuums

    Ductwork

    Appliance Plan:

    Refrigerator

    Dishwashers

    Clothes Dryer

    Clothes Washer

    Ranges/Ovens/Cooktop

    Built-in Microwave

    Garage Door Openers

    Garbage Disposal

    Combo Plan:

    All of the above

    Optional Add-on Coverage:

Complete Care offers a number of optional coverage items you can add to your coverage for an additional charge. It is a longer list than many other providers offer. So, if you have a septic system you want to get covered, you can get coverage for that. If you want a Systems Plan but want to add just a clothes washer, you can do that. It’s good to have options.

    Air Conditioner System

CCHW will cover parts and components for units below 14 SEER of two ducted electric central air conditioning systems. Many companies charge an additional fee for coverage of a second unit.

Commercial units, mini-splits, and window units are not covered.

    Heating Systems

Parts and components of two heating systems. The systems can be hot water and steam heating systems, or centrally ducted forced air gas/electric/oil heating systems, or electric baseboard units.

They do not cover chimneys, flues, or linings, or the cleaning and relighting of pilot lights.

    Plumbing Systems

Plumbing issues are among the most common system breakdowns that occur in a home. Complete Care will cover leaks, stoppages, and breaks of water, drain, gas, waste or vent lines, toilet tanks, bowls and mechanisms within the toilet tank, and valves related to sink, shower, tub, and toilet fixtures.

Plumbing beyond the perimeter of the foundation or underground, under the foundation or slab, is not covered. Faucets and other plumbing fixtures are not covered.

    Electrical Systems

CCHW will cover electrical system components and parts including built-in bathroom exhaust fans. They do not cover DC wiring, attic exhaust fans, or exterior wiring or components.

    Home Appliances

Complete Care covers all components and parts for covered appliances.

    Claims Process

The claims process with Complete Care is fairly simple and straightforward. You can contact them through the customer portal on their website, or contact them via phone 24/7. They will send a trained technician to assess the problem and provide repair service as needed.

    Overall Coverage Limits

According to the service agreement, claims, judgments, and awards are limited to actual out-of-pocket costs to a maximum of $1,500 per claim.

    Reservice Policy

If a covered repair fails, Complete Care offers to reservice the failed repair. You have 30 days for parts and 90 days for service.

    Customer Experience

You can have the best coverage in the world, but if purchasing a plan, filing a claim, or any other part of the customer experience is a hassle, that’s not great. What can you expect from Complete Care? Let’s take a look.

    Buying Process

Here are the steps for purchasing a service agreement and using your Complete Care plan.

    1. Request a free quote with the service plan and optional add-ons you want by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.

    2. Review the quote and user agreement to make sure you understand coverage, limitations, and exclusions.

    3. Sign-up for the chosen plan using the online ordering tool or by speaking to a customer service representative on the phone.

    4. Coverage will start 30-days after you purchase the plan.

    Resolving Disputes

The service agreement has a mediation provision to be aware of that states in part, “In the event of a dispute over claims or coverage You agree to file a written informal claim with Us and allow Us twenty (20) calendar days to respond to the claim. You and We, agree to mediate in good faith before resorting to mandatory arbitration.”

If mediation does not resolve the issue satisfactorily, or if you choose to as a first resort, you can file a lawsuit against Complete Care in accordance with New York state law.

    Consumer Reviews

While it is a good sign that Complete Care has a B+ accreditation with the BBB, and a high rating with Google Reviews, it is important to remember that this is a relatively new company. The longer a home warranty company is in business, the more negative reviews they are likely to accumulate.

Still, the reviews do present an overall positive image of the company. Many reviews mention a customer care representative by name, so a personal touch is evident in CCHW’s approach to customer service.

    Competitive Analysis

Among our top three home warranty providers, which include Choice Home Warranty, American Home Shield, and Select Home Warranty, Complete Care is most similar to Select. Complete Care costs less, but also has lower coverage limits.

What about coverage? Complete Care’s Combo Plan covers 14 items, plus the HVAC ductwork. For comparison, let’s look at one of our most comprehensive providers – American Home Shield. With their Platinum combo plan, 23 systems and appliances are covered.

With 177 reviews, Google Reviews is the most comprehensive resource for customer feedback, so if you want a deeper dive into the issues, pros, and cons of CCHW users, that would be a helpful resource. As a newer company in the marketplace, Complete Care has not racked up the number of reviews — positive or negative – that other companies have.

Overall, we have a pretty clear picture of the strengths and weaknesses of the company compared with its competitors. A 4.2 Google Review rating is well above the industry average. Customers tend to remark on the speed of having technicians come out and make repairs, along with the smooth way claims are handled. Of course, not every claim is approved, so there are some complaints about that.

    The Final Words

While Complete Care may be a newer company on the scene, they are making a name for themselves in customer service and low prices, offering peace of mind to customers all around the country. They do not have the most comprehensive coverage, and their coverage limits are on the lower end of the spectrum. But for solid help with many of the most important systems and appliances in your home, Complete Care delivers good value for the money.
