I didn’t include Like New Home Warranty because of the negative reviews and attention they’ve received from customers and the Better Business Bureau. The BBB even issued a press release saying that the provider has allegedly failed to pay for covered items, respond to BBB complaints, and used misleading marketing techniques.
Like New Home Warranty has no home warranty plan prices, listed exclusions, and very little detail about their policies on their website — a huge red flag that may indicate they’re trying to scam their customers and not pay out. Many customers specifically complained about receiving no reimbursement or very little, which was insufficient compared to the cost of repairs. For example, if they were improperly installed, have unknown pre-existing conditions, or if you didn’t keep detailed maintenance records (which Select Home Warranty requires for HVAC coverage). The bottom line? AHS will still cover your appliances if they have any of these conditions, which is a rarity in this industry.

Liberty has some of the best customer review ratings in the industry, with an impressive 4.7-star rating from over 3,000 reviewers on Trustpilot and a 4.5-star rating from the Better Business Bureau.
Despite their comprehensive coverage, Liberty lacks high coverage caps. A coverage cap determines the maximum amount a provider will pay for a specific item, such as your plumbing.
