Coverage length and waiting period

Advanced Home Warranty covers the systems and appliances above for one year. Customers will have to wait 30 days after signing up for a home warranty plan before warranty coverage actually begins. This waiting period of 30 days is standard across home warranty companies protects the provider from having to repair or replace broken items that were not covered at the time of malfunction or failure. Customers are able to renew their one-year home warranty plan after 365 days.

If you want to lock in your price, which you likely will from the cheapest home warranty company, you might consider enrolling in a three- or five-year home warranty plan. You can always cancel and receive a prorated refund. Advanced charges a $50 cancellation fee, which is $25 less than the industry standard.

Coverage limits

Like most home warranty companies, Advanced Home warranty has a few coverage limits. Read a sample contract to understand all terms and conditions.

First, all systems and appliances covered by your home warranty plan must be properly installed. That means if an appliance was included in a home sale, but the previous owner did not install it properly, it might not be covered by Advanced. The same goes for systems and appliances that have been insufficiently modified.

Secondly, all systems and appliances covered by your home warranty plan must be well-maintained. This includes routine maintenance, like replacing HVAC filters and flushing sediment from a water heater. If a covered item breaks from rust, it is not covered by Advanced.

Lastly, all systems and appliances covered by your home warranty plan must break from normal wear and tear in order to receive service. So if you accidentally drop a heavy bottle of detergent on your Samsung washing machine and now it’s not working properly, that repair is not covered by Advanced.

Advanced Home Warranty pricing

Starting at $31, Advanced doesn’t have the lowest monthly premiums out there but it is well below average. For reference, the average cost of a home warranty is $45.

Furthermore, Advanced Home Warranty charges a $60 service fee while most home warranty companies charge at least $75 per appointment. Combined with the below average premium cost, Advanced Home Warranty offers the cheapest home warranty we’ve reviewed.

Note: Advanced Home Warranty is a sister company of Choice Home Warranty. After submitting your contact information and zip code on Advanced’s website, you might receive a free quote from Choice Home Warranty.

If you’re looking to sign up for a septic system warranty, consider exploring affordable service providers who offer inexpensive septic system Warranty plan.

Advanced Home Warranty Claims

Customers are responsible for notifying Advanced Home Warranty as soon as they discover a problem. You can call Advanced Home Warranty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They will contact a service provider within two days (four days if the call is made on a weekend), and they can make accommodations in the event of an emergency. Advanced Home Warranty arranges for a qualified service provider to make a repair or replacement on your systems and appliances. If you choose your own provider and have the work done prior to approval, it will not be covered by your warranty.

You will pay the $60 service fee to the pre-approved technician when they arrive at your home to address the problem. If the rendered services fail, additional repairs will be made for free within 90 days for parts-related malfunctions and 30 days for labor-related malfunctions.

Advanced Home Warranty ratings

Advanced Home Warranty isn’t Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited and doesn’t have a BBB rating, but this may be because of how young the company is. To get a better sense of the company, we’ve analyzed Advanced Home Warranty reviews across the web.

Other review websites have granted Advanced Home Warranty an average star rating of 3.7 out of 5. This is largely due to Advanced’s comprehensive warranty coverage at a low price. Other advantages to choosing Advanced Home Warranty is its after-hours customer service, nationwide home warranty coverage, and lenient cancellation policy. However, some other reviews point out Advanced’s one-day claim submission policy, low coverage caps, and lack of an online presence.

Our conclusion

Today’s Homeowner gives Advanced Home Warranty 4 out of 5 stars. Advanced Home Warranty’s costs—including premiums, service fees, and cancellation fees—are well below average.

Customer service is another important factor our review team considered in all of its reviews. When a major appliance breaks at home, you’ll want it fixed ASAP. Fortunately, Advanced Home Warranty’s customer service is available 24/7.

However, we withheld a fifth star from our rating due to the lack of Advanced Home Warranty reviews.

Advanced Home Warranty reviews

As mentioned above, there aren’t many Advanced Home Warranty reviews online. Here’s one we found on Advanced’s website last year that has since been removed.

Advanced Home Warranty is a good choice for you if …

  • you’re on a budget
  • you want a new home warranty

Some disadvantages to choosing Advanced is its lack of an online presence, which we have to admit is weird for a new home warranty company. Furthermore, we haven’t found a ton of customer reviews to back up its above-average scores.
