For $299 a year, the homeowners may purchase coverage for all major home system, such as air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, and a number of home appliances. These include kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, garage doors, ceiling fans, and even a doorbell.

Additionally, the home buyers may purchase a warranty for their swimming pool, well, septic, water softener, and order a pre-season HVAC tune-up. All these items are priced a la carte.

New Home Structural Warranties is a new product offered by 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. It is available to the home builders who are members of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty program. It is available for 10 years and is not renewable. Air Conditioning and Heating Systems

For the a/c system, the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty plans cover all kinds of air conditioning units such as central, including heating pumps, geothermal and water source systems, evaporative coolers, built-in electric wall units, and multiple units. The HVAC coverage is limited to the amount of $1,000.

Electrical System

Other Home Systems

The 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty also includes systems such as doorbells—excluding any intercoms related to them, alarm—including burglar and fire alarm systems, garage door—where all parts and components for up to three units are included, except garage door, garage door track or rail assembly, rollers, or problems caused by physical damage. For water heaters,  the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty plans offer coverage for gas and electric including tankless, power, and direct vent units unless sufficient capacity is exceeded. For cooktop exhaust fan and ceiling fan, the warranty does not cover belts, shutters, or filters.

Home Appliances

The 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty does not provide coverage of appliances not located in the kitchen. The company does not service meat probe assemblies, outdoor glass, multimedia center, racks, shelves, interior thermal shells, food spoilage, and freezers, which are not an integral part of the kitchen refrigerator, or door glass, portable or countertop units, trim kits, rotisseries for built-in microwave, or duplicate appliances. If there are problems with sensi-heat burners, 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty will only replace them with standard burners for range, oven, or cooktop.

I received the phone call the next day and we scheduled an appointment. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem. Told me he had to order the part. He said they would call when it came in. Within a week 2-10 called to say they received the claim of the defective piece and approved it. The same company called the next day to schedule a day to come out and install the new part. The same technician (who I enjoyed a lot) came back out and fixed the problem. Since then the freezer has been working great and I am completely satisfied. It only cost me the $100 deductible. Without the home warranty, it would have probably cost me around $500 with parts and labor.

had 2-10 warranty for 13 years. Started out great-used them for hot water heater. Took them 6 days to replace it.Garage door opener broke -great service. 6 years later the hot water tank went again. This time it took almost 10 days to replace only after I agreed to pay $250.00 more over the service charge and I has to help the guy to remove and replace the tank as he had his wife there to help him.3 weeks to repair the furnace fan-terrible contractors the last 4 years.
